AI answers can be wrong

Scout's answers are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Scout does not give legal, immigration, financial or other professional advice. A Scout check is not a guarantee that an offer, employer, recruiter or school is genuine or safe, and Scout feedback is not a guarantee that an application will succeed. Always confirm important details with the official source, such as the government department, employer or programme, before you act, pay or share documents. Where a Japahub team rating and a Scout answer differ, the team rating takes precedence.

Using Scout without an account

You may use Scout without signing in, within daily limits. Guest chats are deleted 24 hours after your last message. We use automated checks to tell people from automated programs, and we limit how many guest sessions can be started from one network. If you sign up or log in, your guest chat may be moved to your account so you can continue it.

Your messages and AI providers

To answer you, Scout sends your messages, and anything you choose to share with it, to third-party AI providers that process them on our behalf. Where a provider offers the option, we ask it not to keep your messages or use them to train its models. Scout chats are deleted 24 hours after the last message. Saved applications are kept only with your consent, and you can delete them at any time. Do not share passwords, bank or card details, or identity document numbers with Scout. Acceptable use of Scout

You agree not to use Scout to break the law, to deceive or harm others, or to produce fraudulent documents or applications. You agree not to access Scout by automated means, to get around its limits or checks, or to interfere with its operation.

Application coaching and programme rules

Scout's coaching helps you plan and improve your own application; it does not write your answers for you. Some scholarship and job programmes restrict or forbid the use of AI in applications. You are responsible for following the rules of each programme you apply to, including any rules on AI, and for everything you submit.

Scout Pass

A Scout Pass is a one-off, prepaid purchase that gives access to Scout's paid features for the period shown at checkout. It does not renew automatically. Buying another pass extends the end date. Paid features have their own daily and monthly limits. Payments are processed by our payment providers. Except where the law requires otherwise, a pass cannot be refunded once you have used its paid features. If a payment fails or you are charged in error, contact us.

Changes to Scout

Scout is a new service. We may change, limit or withdraw its features, limits or availability at any time. We will not reduce what a Scout Pass you have already bought includes before it ends, except where this is needed for safety, security or legal reasons.
